1 Timothy 6:6-19 - Contentment

Post by steve.mckinion » Mon Jul 01, 2019 6:56 pm

This week we will discuss how discontentment causes trouble in the church and in our Christian lives. As you consider what you have (or what you don’t have), where is the area of greatest discontent?

Money?
Relationships?
Status?
Appearance?
Or something else entirely?

Verse 11 says to flee discontent and chase after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. In other words, the Christian life is one of daily choosing to turn from things of the wilderness and go after the things of the eternal Promised Land.

After this Sunday’s class, this is the place to come post any questions you have (or thoughts you have that will benefit the rest of us).
